quality powerized toilet lifts are

Lift Seat® is
also the exclusive U.S. distributor of
Hygie's hygienic cover system which
includes single-use, biodegradable,
commode, bedpan, emesis and urinal covers
to help reduce the spread of C. diff and
other healthcare-acquired infections and
minimize cross-contamination related to
the necessary task of patient waste

The company was
founded in 2005 to solve the biomechanical
movement challenges associated with
toileting. Lift-Seat's foundational
research led to the development of our
patented LiftTek™ Core Assistive
Technology, which reduces the physical
force necessary to support the
sit-to-stand motion path required for
getting on and off the toilet.
All Lift-Seat®
powerized toilet lifts are made in the USA
and used throughout the country in acute

A
Medicare Benefit
When
configured as a powerized bedside commode,
Lift Seat® may qualify as a benefit of
Medicare under HCPCS code E0170 with prior
authorization. Lift Seat may be prior
authorized if an individual meets all of
the following criteria:
The individual
is physically incapable of utilizing
regular toilet facilities. This would
occur in the following situations: the
individual is confined to a single room;
the individual is confined to one level of
the home environment and there is no
toilet on that level; or, the individual
is confined to the home and there are no
toilet facilities in the home.
The individual
must have severe arthritis of the hip or
knee or have a severe neuromuscular
disease.
LiftSeat® must
be a part of the physician’s course of
treatment and be prescribed to correct or
ameliorate the individual’s condition.
Once standing,
the individual must have the ability to
ambulate.
The individual
must be completely incapable of standing
up from a regular armchair or any chair in
the individual’s home.
